Part A- Adjusting
the Internet Settings
Go to:
1. Settings
2.
Network
& Internet
3.
Internet
4.
SIMs
5. Turn on: Mobile Data
6.
Reach
the bottom of the screen and tap on: Access Point Names
7.
You
will see two Access Point Names: The first one will be for the Internet and the
second one will be for the Hotspot. Tap on the first one to adjust the
Internet.

Each
cell phone carrier has its own APN that should be listed on the website of the
carrier. Take a moment to search for the
APN that is correctly set according to your cell phone carrier. For
example, Boost Mobile has the following settings
for a SIM Card that was purchased through Boost Mobile or at Walmart:
-Name: Internet ( Or any name could be here)
-APN: boost.data
-APN Type: default, supl, mms
-APN Protocol: IPv6
-APN Roaming Protocol: IPv4
-APN enable/disable: Make sure that APN is Enabled
-Save by tapping on the three dots icon that is
located on the upper right hand corner of the screen
Part B-
Adjusting the Settings for Hotspot

Repeat
steps from 1 through 5 on Part A, but
when you get to step 6, you will go to the second option which pertains to the
settings for Hotspot.
7.
Do
an Online search for the correct APN Setting for your cell phone’s Hotspot, on
the website of your cell phone carrier. For example, Boost Mobile has the
following information for a SIM card that was purchased through Boost Mobile or
Walmart:
-Name: boostdata
-APN: resellermht
-APN Type: dun
-APN Protocol: IPv4/IPv6
-APN Roaming Protocol: IPv4/IPv6
-APN enable/disable: Make sure that APN is Enabled
-MVNO Type: GID
* Restart your phone
*
Test your phone's connection by
making a call, sending a text and loading a web page. (Make sure the phone is
disconnected from any Wi-Fi connection
while you are testing the cellular connection on your cell phone).
