How to Create a Simple Ban List for Your Business Using Microsoft Excell
This is a great way of creating two lists, one list is the arrivals, and the other list is of the guests who are banned from entering your business. Enter a formula and if any of the banned guests show up on your arrivals, the list will notify you by turning the name into red or any color you choose.
*First, label your Column A on line 1. For Example, Arrivals.
*Then, label your Column B on line 1. For example, Banned List.
*Next, on Column A, place the names of the arrivals.
(Notice that the columns can be easily widened)
*After this. On Column B, place the names of the people who are banned from entering your business.
*After that, placing your cursor on Column A, highlight from line 2 to the end of your list.
*Then, go to Conditional Formatting and Click on New Rule.
*Next, select the line that says: "Use a Formula to Determine Which Cells to Format."
*Enter the Formula.
(Note that, where the Happy Face is, you will place the number of the last line of your list from Column B).
*Afterwards, click on “Format.”
*Next, choose the color that you want.
*Lastly, click “Ok” and “Ok” again.
